Ieri un bambino usci all'aperto per meravigliarsi, prese una libellula con un barattolo.Timoroso quando i tuoni squarciavano il cielo e in lacrime per una stella cadente . Poi il bambino fece dieci volte il giro delle stagioni. Ha pattinato su dieci ruscelli ghiacciati. Parole come “Quando sarai più grande ” devono tranquillizzarlo e promesse di “un giorno” realizzano i suoi sogni. E le stagioni continuano a girare, i pony colorati vanno su e giù. Siamo prigionieri sulla giostra del tempo, non possiamo ritornare, possiamo solo guardare indietro da dove siamo venuti e girare intorno e intorno nel gioco del girotondo. Sedici primavere e sedici estati sono passati, ora le ruote dei carri fanno girare le ruote delle auto attraverso la città e loro gli dicono: “ Prenditi il tuo tempo, non passerà molto prima che tu trascini i tuoi piedi lentamente nel gioco del girotondo”. Le stagioni continuano a girare e i pony colorati vanno su e giù, siamo prigionieri sulla giostra del tempo non possiamo ritornare, possiamo solo guardare indietro da dove siamo venuti e girare intorno e intorno nel gioco del girotondo. Cosi gli anni passano vorticosamente e ora il ragazzo è ormai ventenne e anche se i suoi sogni hanno perso il loro originale splendore nel realizzarsi, ci saranno nuovi sogni, forse sogni migliori e forse in gran quantità, prima che gli ultimi anni passino e le stagioni girino e i pony colorati vadano su e giù. Siamo prigionieri sulla giostra del tempo, non possiamo ritornare, possiamo solo guardare indietro da dove siamo venuti e girare intorno e intorno nel gioco del girotondo.
